Ti-Chi is a UK-based project to make traditional Tai Chi more accessible to children and adults of any age and any condition.

In martial arts, Tai Chi is known as an internal martial art or soft martial
art. It promotes internal strength - physically, mentally and emotionally.
People practice it to have better, calmer, healthy and productive lives.

Ti-Chi is easy to do and provides a gentle workout which leaves you
energised. As it makes you feel good, you look forward to doing it. It's
great fun and gives you focus for other activities such as school, sport and work.

Ti-Chi is working in Surrey Square Juniors School in the London Borough of Southwark and Mulberry Kindergarten and Orwell Park School in Suffolk. The imagery of animals and objects are 'created' to enable the children to focus on 'forms' or movements that give them the benefits of Tai Chi without all the explanation that adults normally require.

"It's effect has been utterly amazing. The course has helped the children to focus. . . While I can't say that the classes have made everyone behave perfectly all of the time, they are certainly behaving a lot better in academic subjects, and it has dramatically helped the learning atmosphere."
Headmistress Liz Robinson,
as quoted in the Sunday Express 23/12/06

Schools in the UK can benefit considerably from Ti-Chi and produce a much higher level of self esteem in our children. This balance of feeling good about yourself and others around you can only make for a more harmonious society.
If your school or group would benefit from having calmer and more focused children and teachers please contact us to discuss our free introductory sessions.
